Bored while officiating a cricket suit at a psychiatric hospital, Crossley tells Graves (a visitor) the story of a strange unfamiliar person (also called Crossley) that gets into the lives and residence of a regional musician and also his wife. The complete stranger declares understanding of genuine magic, which he uses to displace his host and control his wife. The musician has to discover a method to deal with Crossley as well as his relatively implacable powers. Tomb questions Crossley's insurance claim that the story holds true, and also starts to believe that Crossley is actually one of the patients.
