The Taming of the Shrew

Baptista, a wealthy Paduan businessman, declares that his beautiful young daughter Bianca will not marry until her evil sister Katharina has. Lucentio, a wealthy Pisan merchant's son, is in love with Bianca. He pretends as a music and poetry tutor to obtain access to the Baptista household and Bianca. Meanwhile, Petruchio, a verona rascal, arrives in Padua to seduce an affluent wife. Hortensio, another Bianca suitor, points Petruchio to Katharina. The warning from Hortensio regarding Katharina's sharp tongue and furious temper challenges Petruchio to win her heart. Hortensio and Gremio agree to help Petruchio seek Katharina.
