The Tempest
Prospero, a powerful illusionist, survives on a desolate isle with his virginal little girl, Miranda. He remains in exile, banished from his duchy by his appropriating sibling and also the King of Naples. Providence brings these enemies near; helped by his liege the spirit Ariel, Prospero invokes a tempest to wreck the Italian ship. The king's boy, assuming all others lost, comes to be Prospero's detainee, falling in love with Miranda as well as she with him. Prospero's brother and also the king wander the island, as do an intoxicated chef and sailor, who conspire with Caliban, Prospero's abominable servant, to murder Prospero. Prospero desires reason to triumph, Ariel desires his liberty, Miranda a hubby; the sailors want to dance.
