The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada

The death and burial of Pete Perkins' buddy and ranch worker, Melquiades Estrada, by boisterous Texas border officer Mike Norton, prompts the latter to recall a vow made to Melquiades Estrada to bury him in his native town of Mexico. He kidnaps Norton and exhumes Estrada's body, and the ragtag band of outcasts sets out on horseback for the Mexican border.
