In order to work in the auto parts industry in Japan, 19-year-old Ping Ping plans to go there. Aunt Madame Tien, her guardian aunt, employs her between two jobs: pig farm and run-down restaurant dishwashing. To make ends meet, Tien arranges marriages between young women and migrant laborers, who then sell the children they bear.
