The Treasure of the Sierra Madre

Fred C. Dobbs and Bob Curtin, both down-on-their-luck in 1925 Tampico, Mexico, meet Howard, a grizzled prospector, and decide to join him in the wilds of central Mexico in search of gold. They eventually succeed in discovering gold despite huge obstacles, but bandits, the elements, and especially greed threaten to undermine their achievement.
