The Tree

The O'Neill family enjoyed a contented life in the rural setting of their home in Australia. That was the case until the cruel hand of fate took the life of Peter, the father, one day, leaving his bereaved wife Dawn to raise their four children on her own. Among them is Simone, who is only eight years old, and she rejects this reality. She is certain that her father still resides in the massive fig tree that is growing near their house and that he communicates with her through the leaves of the tree. However, the tree continues to spread its roots and becomes a greater danger to the house. It is necessary to cut it down. Of course, Simone won't agree to let that happen.
