The Unseen
When their kid dies in an accident, Gemma and Will are devastated. Gemma places the blame on herself and begins to experience panic attacks, which impair her vision-and that of the audience. Will is plagued by the fact that he thinks he hears his son's voice calling to him. Gemma recommends that they take up Paul's offer to stay at his country retreat in the Lake District to get away from their sadness. Gemma tries to stop her panic attacks with medication, with the support of her ex-pharmacist Paul. Will antagonizes Paul and abruptly returns home after being unable to hear his son in his bedroom. Paul appears to be developing genuine feelings for Gemma's well-being. As Gemma explores love, sadness, and the weakness of the human condition. Will and Paul are engulfed in a spiral of psychological and physical violence.
