The Wheel

"The Board" of Satoshi-Telefair Industries congratulates paraplegic prison inmate Matt Mills on his participation in the Program in the near future. As a result of peer pressure and a promise that he will be able to walk once more, Mills agrees to volunteer. His legs are revived via injection of a synthetic nanomaterial and suffocation, but in an isolated steel chamber in the first spoke of an experimental equipment known as The Wheel. Mills' body and mind are tortured by a series of assaults, but the synthetic nanomaterial not only repairs his injured organs, but also re-engineers his strength back to its original state. Mills, despite the fact that the experiment was supposed to kill him, is determined to survive and return to his daughter before The Board does.
