Director Robin Hardy's reimagining of his eerie 1973 movie, The Wicker Guy. Young Christians Beth and Steve, a scripture vocalist and her cowboy boyfriend, leave Texas to preach door-to-door in Scotland. When, after first misuse, they are welcomed with joy as well as elation to Tressock, the boundary fiefdom of Sir Lachlan Morrison, they think their hosts simply intend to listen to more concerning Jesus.
