More than half of the people in the region where the borders of North Korea, China, and Russia meet is dependent on criminal activity to survive. Gu-nam spends his days driving a cab and his nights drinking and gambling in Yanbian, on the Chinese side of the border. Since his wife left for Seoul to find job and send money back to him, he hasn't heard from her. In exchange for clearing Gu-nam of his debt, Myun, a local crime leader, offers Gu-nam a contract killing in Seoul. Gu-nam hesitantly accepts.
