Through a Glass Darkly

Karin is looking forward to spending the summer at her family's home on a small island, where she wants to heal after her recent time in a mental institution. He cares for her but is annoyed by her inability to engage in any physical activity. He is baffled by both Karin's fragility and his own developing sexuality, which he shares with his younger brother. David, their father, is unable to overcome his arrogant distance. Madness takes hold of Karin as she is beset by visions.
