Tiger Claws II
In Tiger Claws II, which was published five years after the first volume, Yeung's martial arts serial killer Chong is sprung from prison by a group of heavyweights working for the criminal Dai Lo Fu and transported to San Francisco's Chinatown. When a string of recent murders employing Chong's signature method—a claw-like mark across the victim's face—come to Tarek Richards' attention, the NYC cop calls on his former partner Linda Masterson, who is now residing in Los Angeles, for assistance. It turns out, though, that Chong is unrelated to the killings. Lo Fu, the leader of the criminal underworld, is merely using him to mix his energy with Chong's in order to open some type of time portal and deliver essential supplies to the legendary Shaolin monks. But in reality, Lo Fu has a cunning plan to use the gateway to smuggle back powerful modern artillery and take control of Qing Dynasty China.
