Time of the Wolves

The criminal (Robert Hossein), who is modeled after American gangster John Dillinger, is pursued by the inspector (Charles Aznavour), a former childhood friend. There is a lot of gunplay and psychology used to catch the killer. His only tender moments are with Stella, his girlfriend (Virna Lisi). During the shootout, Dillinger is cornered by the police and kills several innocent victims in a crowd. When the doomed man runs out of bullets, the mob decides to take matters into their own hands and approaches him with a noose.
