Tombs of the Blind Dead

In the 13th century, a legion of Templar Knights governed the countryside around Berzano, seeking perpetual life by human blood consumption. Terrible land harvesting and human sacrifice plagued the region. They were eventually imprisoned and executed, their eyes pecked out by crows. Visits to the abandoned city in modern-day Portugal reanimate the Templar corpses, terrifying the area.
