Carla and Marco are manic-depressive poets whose work is inspired by their emotional highs and lows. In the end, they both go to the same psychiatric hospital when they stop taking their meds They get even more crazy because of the chemistry between them. Doctors and parents try to keep them apart, but they keep their beautiful but destructive romance going. It swings them from fantastical manic highs to suicidal depressive lows until they have to choose between sanity and love.
