Ken, a world-class competition marksman, witnesses an armored van robbery. He observes a police officer being held hostage and murders four of the criminals. One of the robbers flees, but the police officer is unharmed. Jerry Chang is in charge of the case, whom Ken is familiar with from a recent shooting battle in which he defeated him. In court, Ken gets acquitted. Ken is attacked shortly afterwards by Pang Tao, the fugitive robber. Their showdown reveals an entirely other backstory and results in a slew of falsehoods, traps, and interpersonal alterations as Jerry and Ken attempt to outwit one another.
