Gaston Monescu, a thief, and Lily, a pickpocket, are partners in crime and in love. The two crooks decide to combine their criminal talents to rob Mariette Colet, a perfume industry CEO. Gaston exploits his position as Mariette's personal secretary to gain a deeper relationship with her under the pseudonym of Monsieur Laval. He goes too far, however, when he falls in love with Mariette and must choose between her and Lily.
