Twelve Monkeys
James Cole, a convict in the year2035, grudgingly volunteers to be sent back in time to uncover the genesis of a virus that killed out the majority of the world's population and drove the survivors to live in underground settlements. When Cole is accidentally transported to 1990 instead of 1996, he is arrested and sent to a mental institution. There, he meets psychiatrist Dr. Kathryn Railly and patient Jeffrey Goines, the son of a famous virus scientist who may hold the secret to the Army of the 12 Monkeys, the mystery group believed to be responsible for releasing the deadly virus.
