Walkabout
A geologist takes his teenage daughter and 6-year-old son into the Australian outback under the guise of a picnic and tries to shoot them. When he fails, he kills himself, leaving the two city kids alone in the harsh countryside. They are saved by a chance encounter with an Aborigine youngster who teaches them how to survive, highlighting the disconnect between nature and contemporary life in the process.
