Shizuku lives a simple life, which is ruled by her love of stories and writing. She finds out one day that the same individual had checked out all of her library books before: 'Seiji Amasawa.' Shizuku encounters a boy her own age whom she considers irritating, but realizes to her surprise that he is her 'Prince of Books.'. In the end, she realizes that he only read those novels to get close enough for her. Seiji's goals of becoming a violin maker in Italy inspire Shizuku to realize that she doesn't have a clear route in life. Seiji's great-grandfather had a cat figurine named Baron, and she believes that writing is one of her strong suits.
