At the age of 17, Kat Connors watches helplessly as her model of a stay-at-home mom, Eve, vanishes. Because she has spent so much of her life in a home where emotions are suppressed, she hardly notices that her mother is no longer there, and she most definitely does not blame her father, Brock, who is a doormat, for the death of her mother.
