Window Horses: The Poetic Persian Epiphany of Rosie Ming

A young Canadian poet, Rosie Ming, has been invited to play at a Poetry Festival in Shiraz, Iran, but she prefers to be in Paris. She has never been anywhere by herself because she lives with her overprotective Chinese grandparents. When she arrives in Iran, she is surrounded by poets and Persians who tell her stories that drive her to confront her history, including the Iranian father she thought abandoned her and the meaning of poetry itself. It's all about bridging cultural and generational gaps. It's all about being enquisitive. Keeping my options open. Also, through the enchantment of poetry, discovering your own voice. Through learning about her father's background, her own cultural identity, and her obligation to it, Rosie goes on an unwitting journey of forgiveness, reconciliation, and, maybe most importantly, understanding.
