In New York, bigoted Captain Stanley White becomes obsessed with defeating a Chinese-American narcotics ring led by Joey Tai, a violent young mobster. Although his worried wife Connie and his superiors beg him to think about the ramifications of his actions, White becomes increasingly inclined to break police protocol, resorting to increasingly aggressive methods.
