Zander the Great

Mrs. Caldwell, a loving mother with a little son named Alexander, takes in Mamie, an orphan girl who was abused in the orphanage. Mamie befriends the young man and gives him the nickname "Zander." When Mrs. Caldwell passes away, the authorities order that the kid be placed in the same orphanage where Mamie was abused. Mamie is horrified, and she vows to ensure that the boy does not receive the same treatment that she did.
