MTV aired the American animated series "3 South," which was produced in the United States. The comedy centered on the antics of two lifelong friends named Sanford and Del when they attended the made-up school known as Barder College. The majority of the people at Barder are incompetent and ignorant, with the notable exception of their roommate Joe. In spite of this, the foolish, irresponsible, and thoughtless Sanford and Del are shown to be the series' heroes, while the responsible and intelligent Joe is portrayed as the de facto villain in the majority of the episodes. Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan, both of whom had previously worked on Family Guy, used a short film that they had produced many years ago as the basis for the creation of the series. To this day, it remains the only animated series that Warner Bros. Animation has developed specifically for MTV. The song "Fight Test" by The Flaming Lips, which can be found on the album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, serves as the show's theme music.
