Kamijo is a student at Academy City, where people employ science to achieve magical talents. The man has a lot of compassion, which is fortunate for Index, a young nun. She's on the run from a sorcery society that wants the incredible 103,000 volumes of magical information stored in her memory. When Index enters Kamijo's life, she finds a loyal companion and protector, and while Kamijo is undoubtedly the weakest youngster in Academy City, he has something else going for him: the Imagine Breaker, an incomprehensible power held in his right hand that cancels the powers of others.
