Arctic Air is a film about a maverick airline based in Yellowknife and the odd family that owns it. Mel Ivarson, an old school bush pilot, his daughter Krista, and Bobby Martin, the son of Ivarson's late partner, are the proprietors. The episodes focus on the protagonists' interpersonal difficulties as well as exciting flying missions with their aged fleet of Douglas DC-3s, de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otters, and other planes. There are one or more flying missions in each episode. Due to government budget constraints, the series was discontinued on March17, 2014.
