Two countries, Arandas and Ingelmia, have been at war for a long time. Jamie is attacked by enemy forces, but Tokimune of Independent Unit 8 of Arandas saves her. To survive, he pilots the Argevollen mech. The new mech Argevollen can only be piloted by its pilot due to its U-Link system. This customisation allows the pilot to imagine what the mech will accomplish instead of moving and steering it.
