It starred Simone Lahbib, Mandana Jones, Debra Stephenson, Linda Henry, Jack Ellis, and many others. The show was made by Shed Productions, which also made Footballers' Wives and Waterloo Road. It was shown in 17 countries. It takes place in the made-up women's prison Larkhall and has both serious and funny stories about the inmates and staff of G Wing. The UK broadcast rights were bought by CBS Drama in 2010, and the show is often shown again. As of September 2012, the channel is showing the series again in the middle of the night.
