A teenage girl's body was discovered in the forest near the rural village of Manscheid in Luxembourg's far north. Luc Capitani, a tough detective from the country's south, is assigned to the case. Capitani, having difficulty navigating the northerners' closed, communal, and protective mentality, finds himself unwillingly reliant on the assistance of Elsa Ley, a young and intrepid local policewoman. The officers soon become entangled in a web of lies and secrets.
