Charles in Charge is an American sitcom with Scott Baio as Charles, a 19-year-old student at the fictional Copeland College in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who worked as a live-in babysitter in exchange for room and board. Scott Vincent Baio was credited as the director of many episodes of the show. Due to Nielsen ratings issues, it aired on CBS from October 3, 1984, to the end of the season in 1985. From January 3, 1987 through November 10, 1990, a total of 126 original episodes were broadcast in first-run syndication. The show was made by Al Burton Productions, Scholastic Productions, and Universal Television, and it was sold by NBCUniversal Television Distribution and New Line Cinema Corporation.
