David Feiss created the American animated comedy television series Cow and Chicken for Cartoon Network. The series chronicles the bizarre adventures of Cow and her fowl sibling, Chicken. They are frequently irritated by "The Red Guy," who impersonates numerous individuals to con them. I.M. Weasel and I.R. Baboon, characters from the recurring segment I Am Weasel, were given their own half-hour series with the same name late in the series' run. Like Dexter's Laboratory and other 1990s Cartoon Network series, the original pilot aired as an episode of the animated shorts showcase What a Cartoon!, which was the brainchild of then-Hanna-Barbera president Fred Seibert. The Cow and Chicken series debuted on Cartoon Network on July 15, 1997, and ran through July 24, 1999, with substantial reruns airing until April 2006. Boomerang broadcasts reruns that are rated TV-Y7. In 1996 and 1998, the series was nominated for an Emmy Award.
