The novel "Crime Puzzle" tells the story of a criminal psychologist who is convicted of killing a political candidate and is sentenced to prison for the crime. Meanwhile, a criminal profiler whose father was killed in the crime is conducting interviews with the convicted killer for a case that takes place within the prison. Just a year ago, these two were romantically involved with one another; yet, in their current roles as a serial killer and a criminal profiler, they are forced to confront an unexpected truth about a string of killings. The suspenseful aspect of the story relies on how they fit together the information, much like putting together a jigsaw.
