Degrassi High
Degrassi High is the third teen drama in the Degrassi series set in Toronto, Ontario. It followed The Kids of Degrassi Street and Degrassi Junior High through high school from 1989 to 1991. Downtown Toronto and Centennial College were filming locations. Degrassi High tackled contentious subjects like AIDS, abortion, abuse, alcoholism, cheating, sex, death and suicide, dating, despair, bullying, gay rights, homophobia, racism, the environment, drugs, and eating disorders. u're Magazine's September 2007 issue discusses the show's impact on Canadian identity.
