The most prominent medical examiner in New York City, Doctor Henry Morgan, is keeping a secret from his colleagues. He does not only investigate the deceased in order to solve crimes; rather, he does so in order to solve the puzzle that has baffled him for the past two centuries: the reason behind his own unexplainable immortality. Henry's amazing powers of observation have impressed his new colleague, Detective Jo Martinez, thanks to the fact that he has lived such a lengthy life. Each week, a new case and their developing friendship will shed light on a different facet of Henry's lengthy and eventful history.
