Getting Together

Getting Together is an American musical situation comedy that aired on the ABC television network in 1971-1972. It stars Bobby Sherman and Wes Stern as the songwriting partnership Bobby Conway and Lionel Poindexter. The Partridge Family had introduced Lionel and Bobby in the pilot episode of The Partridge Family's first season finale, titled "A Knight in Shining Armor," which aired the previous spring. Boyce and Hart, who had written songs for The Monkees, Jay and the Americans, and others, apparently served as the inspiration for Sherman and Stern's characters. The majority of the same crew who developed the Partridge Family's songs and recordings also contributed new music to the series. The majority of these songs originated from two albums by Bobby Sherman: Getting Together and Just For You.
