Gintama
The Amanto, aliens from outer space, have invaded Earth and taken over feudal Japan. As a result, a sword ban has been enacted, and Japan's samurai are treated with contempt. Gintoki Sakata, on the other hand, still has the heart of a samurai, despite his love of sweets and profession as a yorozuya. Shinpachi Shimura, a boy with glasses and a strong heart, Kagura, with her umbrella and seemingly boundless stomach, and Sadaharu, their big pet dog, accompany him in his jack-of-all-trades line of business. Of course, these odd occupations are not always simple, as they constantly have run-ins with the police, ragtag rebels, and assassins, often resulting to amusing but disastrous outcomes.
