Gun is an American anthology series that ran from April 12 to May 31, 1997 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time on ABC. The series had six episodes, each of which was directed by a well-known director, before it was canceled. In each episode, the same semi-automatic pistol is an important part of the plot. The characters in each episode are completely different and don't seem to have anything to do with the characters in other episodes. The show was made by Robert Altman, and it had a lot of well-known actors in it, like Fred Ward, Kathy Baker, Carrie Fisher, Daryl Hannah, Randy Quaid, Martin Sheen, and James Gandolfini in his first television role. The theme song was a cover of The Beatles' "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" by U2.
