Hinako "Hina" Sakuragi, a village girl from Japan, becomes nervous while meeting new people. Hina wishes to get involved in theater after seeing a play on a school trip. Hina moves to Tokyo's Hitotose Manor to attend Fujiyama High School and join the drama club. Fujiyama High's theatre group has been on hiatus, to Hina's dismay. Hina has already moved to Tokyo and registered in school, so she's lost. Landlady Chiaki Hagino pushes Hina to start a theater troupe with Hitotose Manor inhabitants. Hinako Note follows Hina as she starts a new life in Tokyo and learns theater with her pals.
