From 1977 to 1982, there was a weekly TV show called "In Search of..." that was all about mysterious things. It was made after Alan Landsburg's three one-hour TV documentaries, "In Search of Ancient Astronauts," "In Search of Ancient Mysteries," and "The Outer Space Connection," all of which were very popular. Rod Serling narrated all three of them. He was the first choice to host the spin-off show. Leonard Nimoy was chosen to be the host after Rod Serling died.
