Inspector Gadget

A clumsy, dim-witted cyborg investigator dubbed Inspector Gadget (a human person with several bionic gadgets installed into his body) is the star of an animated television series called Inspector Gadget. Dr. Claw, the leader of the nefarious organization "M.A.D.," is Gadget's worst foe. This was DIC Entertainment's first nationally syndicated animation, airing from 1983 to 1986 and continuing in syndication into the late 1990s. It has been rebroadcast over the world to great acclaim. France, Canada, the United States, Taiwan, and Japan all contributed to the production of the series. An international co-production was made by DIC Entertainment in France and Nelvana in Canada, with the animation work being outsourced to Japanese and Taiwanese firms. It was the first animated series to be shown in stereo.
