Jackass is an American reality show that aired on MTV from 2000 to 2002 and featured people undertaking dangerous, self-injurious stunts and pranks. Bam Margera, Steve-O, and Johnny Knoxville, who had just a few brief acting parts before, used the show to launch their television and acting careers. MTV corporate sibling Paramount Pictures has produced and released three Jackass films since 2002, extending the series beyond its television run. Viva La Bam, Wildboyz, Homewrecker, Dr. Steve-O, and Blastazoid are some of the spin-offs from the show. Entertainment Weekly ranked the show #68 on their list of "New TV Classics."
