Jason and the Argonauts

The film Jason and the Argonauts is based on the myth of Jason and the Golden Fleece. Jason witnesses his father's violent deposition and murder at the hands of his uncle Pelias while he was a young child. Twenty years later, Jason returns home to claim his rightful position as king. However, Pelias orders his execution, and Jason is forced to embark on a perilous expedition to retrieve the legendary Golden Fleece in order to save his life. Thus, Jason assembles an assortment of men and sets sail on the Argos. This Hallmark Production was developed as a two-part miniseries, with Jason London as Jason and Jolene Blalock as Medea.
