Lexx
Lexx is a science fiction/fantasy television series that follows the exploits of a mismatched collection of passengers onboard the organic spaceship Lexx. They traverse two universes and encounter planets, including an Earth parody. The series is a co-production between Canada and Germany, with extra funding from Channel 5 in the United Kingdom. In January of 2000, the Sci Fi Channel purchased the series from Salter Street Films and began screening Season 2 episodes for the United States audience. Salter Street Films co-produced Lexx, which was subsequently acquired by Alliance Atlantis. In Canada, Lexx broadcast on the Showcase network, which is owned by Alliance Atlantis. The majority of the series was shot in Halifax and Berlin, with other locations in Iceland, Bangkok, and Namibia.
