Mad About You is an American comedy that ran on NBC from September 23, 1992 to May 24, 1999. Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt play a newly married couple in New York City in the episode. Reiser portrayed documentary filmmaker Paul Buchman. Hunt portrayed public relations professional Jamie Stemple Buchman. The couple had a baby daughter, Mabel, at the end of the show's run. The series mostly follows the newlyweds as they deal with everything from amusing daily trivia to big problems. The show's eagerness to find humour in everyday circumstances, as well as its observational banter, drew similarities to Seinfeld, another NBC comedy about thirty-somethings in New York City.
