Season 1 of the reality television series Manhunt was broadcast by UPN during summer of 2001 and is now available on DVD. Actors posing as bounty hunters pursued the contestants on the show, pretending to be fugitives. If the bounty hunters couldn't find you in time, you'd win cash. During its limited career, Manhunt had a number of issues. In the first place, a deal with the World Wrestling Federation fell through, which was supposed to include several of its "superstars" in the cast of the show. That's when conspiracy theorist Peter Lance and game-show fan Steve Beverly both published independent investigations revealing that the show was being shot at Griffith Park near Los Angeles. Manhunt alleged to have been shot in Hawaii. After only six episodes, the show was cancelled. One of the cast members was former American Gladiator Raye "Zap" Hollitt.
