Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

The first episode of the American animated television series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse aired during the nighttime programming block on Disney Channel on May 5, 2006. Originally, the show was presented as part of the daily Playhouse Disney block, which was geared toward preschool-aged children. On February 14, 2011, it was transferred to the Disney Junior block, where it now serves as a replacement for Playhouse Disney. It is the only Mickey Mouse show of its kind that is geared toward children in preschool. Bobs Gannaway, who is also responsible for the creation of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, is credited with co-developing the series. As a result of the passing of voice actor Wayne Allwine in the spring of 2009, production of the show was halted for a period of four months. Allwine was well known for his role as the longtime voice of Mickey Mouse. Production picked back up after Bret Iwan was selected to play the role of the fourth performer of Mickey's voice. On June 23, 2013, the voice actor for Goofy and Pluto, Bill Farmer, revealed on his official Twitter account that production of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse would stop after 7 years of episodes had been produced. On the other hand, repeats will continue to air on the Disney Junior service that is available around the clock.
