A long time ago, the formidable pirate lord Gol D. Roger was hanged, leaving behind a vast amount of riches and the well-known manga "One Piece." Whoever claims the "One Piece" will become the new pirate king. Monkey D. Luffy, a youngster who ate one of the "Devil's Fruits," believes that he will follow in the footsteps of his hero, the pirate Shanks, and locate the One Piece. Naturally, it helps that his body possesses the properties of rubber and that he is surrounded by a multitude of talented fighters and thieves to assist him. The members of Monkey D. Luffy's crew include Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Tony-Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, and Brook. They are willing to do anything to obtain the One Piece and become the Pirate King.
