Oswald is an American children's cartoon series that was originally broadcast on Nick Jr. on August20,2001, and officially came to an end in early2004. The series is about a blue octopus and his friends. Dan Yaccarino was the one who came up with the idea for the show, and HiT Entertainment was the one who helped develop it. It was also repeated on the show Noggin, which aired in the evenings. Beginning on September22,2001, and running all the way until September7,2002, the program was broadcast on Nick Jr. on CBS. Before the modifications to the network roster that took effect on March1,2012, Nick Jr. showed all of the original episodes. It also airs on the British channel "JimJam," which is broadcast in a variety of countries, including Israel, among them. In addition, a Hindi dubbed version is being broadcast on the Indian station Zee TV at the moment. Pogo, an Indian television channel, airs a Hindi-dubbed version of it as well.
